John Grund, Golf Professional
John comes to us from Southern California, with a career spanning all levels of the game. John excelled as an amateur and collegiate golfer, having played in the 1981 US Amateur at the Olympic Club and four NCAA Championships at his alma mater, UCLA.
John has also excelled as a professional, playing the PGA Tour, Canadian Tour, Mini Tours and PGA Section events. A 5-time Metro Player of the Year in southern California, Order of Merit 3 times on the Canadian Tour, and leading money-winner on the Golden State Tour, he also played in the 1987 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club.
Along the way he sought out the instruction of some the game's finest teachers. Eddie Merrins (PGA Hall of Fame), Gregg McHatton (Southern California Instructor of the Year),Jim Petralia (PGA Instructor of the Year) were instrumental in his development as both a player and a teacher.
The last several years, John has focused on teaching the game of golf and integrating his playing and professional experiences to meet the needs of his students.
